Noviant's R&D projects are strongly driven by close collaboration with our customers. Noviant has unique expertise and experience in CMC and its applications and is willing to make every effort to satisfy customers' demands and add value for the customers.

Continuous research into new products is carried out at our versatile, state-of-the-art pilot plant in Äänekoski, Finland. Controlled simulation of production conditions for new products and product modifications not only ensure high end-product quality but also cost-effectiveness in full-scale production. The pilot plant facility in Äänekoski, Noviant's technology centre, is a unique tool for product and process development.

Äänekoski is responsible for all the development of industrial applications of CMC. The research and development group in Skoghall, Sweden, is focused on personal care applications and Nijmegen, the Netherlands, is the centre for development of products for the food and the pharmaceutical industries.

Our laboratories are well equipped to undertake advanced analytical as well as application studies. For instance, rheological characteristics of CMC solutions or CMC containing formulations are an essential part of our various development programmes.

Noviant's CMC technology and product development is further supported by broad academic contacts with a variety of universities and institutes. This ensures up-to-date knowledge of the latest developments in the scientific field.
